Hi amazing person!
As the imperfect humans we are, we often find ourselves filled with fear. We may find ourselves afraid at times.
With God all of that is healed. We need to let God take over our fear. There is NO reason to fear when you know you have God on your side.
In Deuteronomy 1 God granted the people of Israel promised land. The leaders from the people of Israel were to set out on a journey to the prosmised land, but became hesistant because they wanted to know what the land consisted of before they took the long journey to arrive there. They then appointed other men to go do the work of seeing the land and bring information back on the land God gave them. THEY DID NOT TRUST GOD.
29 Then I said to you, ‘Do not be in dread or afraid of them. 30 The Lord your God who goes before you will himself fight for you, just as he did for you in Egypt before your eyes, 31 and in the wilderness, where you have seen how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, all the way that you went until you came to this place.’ 32 Yet in spite of this word you did not believe the Lord your God, 33 who went before you in the way to seek you out a place to pitch your tents, in fire by night and in the cloud by day, to show you by what way you should go.
How powerful is that? God will show you the way to go, seek you out, and He Himself will fight for you.
By not trusting God, they were punished.
34 “And the Lord heard your words and was angered, and he swore, 35 ‘Not one of these men of this evil generation shall see the good land that I swore to give to your fathers, 36 except Caleb the son of Jephunneh. He shall see it, and to him and to his children I will give the land on which he has trodden, because he has wholly followed the Lord!’
God feels betrayed when we do not trust in HIM and instead live in fear. We need to live wholeheartedly through God like Caleb. By living fearlessly we are rewarded. Our lives become brighter and we become closer to God. HE wants you to live fearlessly!!
Place yourself in God’s hands. Give it all up to Him.
