Quiet Time with God

What does your quiet time with God look like? Do you want to improve your quiet time with God? Do you even need quiet time with God if you already have a church you go to?

Quiet time with God is so important. Through having this time with Him we are able to separate His voice out from the world. We are able to connect with Him personally.

Matthew 6:6
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

I am sure you hang out with your friends in group settings, but also alone.

It is important to do the same with God.

It is vital we get our alone time in with God. That we pray with Him one on one with no distractions. We need to give Him our entire presence for minutes or hours in each day to strengthen our friendship with Him. When you are alone and it is just you and Jesus it allows for amazing vulnerability. We need to let our walls completely down each time we talk to Jesus.

Get on your knees and pray, listen to some worship music and throw your hands up in joy, dedicate a room to have quiet time in, meditate on scripture, study the bible,  cry out to Him, surrender yourself, allow the Holy Spirit to take over you, and enjoy the time you have to spend with Him.

Through having quiet time it allows for walls to be broken down, prayers to be answered, a strengthened relationship, being able to hear His voice, and to fill yourself up with the Truth.

2 Timothy 2:15

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
